Gisele Bundchen's pain-free birth

Gisele Bundchen claims she wasn’t in pain when giving birth.

The Brazilian supermodel – who welcomed son Benjamin, her first child with husband Tom Brady, into the world in December – insists the labour didn’t hurt because she was so excited about meeting her baby.

She told Brazilian TV station Fantasticoshe: ‘It didn’t hurt in the slightest. The whole time my mind was focused in each contraction on the thought, ‘My baby is closer to coming out.’

‘It wasn’t like, ‘This is so painful.’ So I transformed that intense feeling into a hope of seeing him.’

Gisele – who is also stepmother to Tom’s two-year-old son John – fell intensely in love with Benjamin as soon as he was born.

She said: ‘It’s wonderful. Never in my life I thought I could love like this. You hear people talking about it, but you don’t know until it happens to you. I couldn’t be happier.’

Gisele, 29, also revealed she is breastfeeding her son, and while it’s very tiring, she is enjoying every moment of it.

She told the Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper: ‘In these first months, the baby breastfeeds twice in two hours or three times in three hours. It is really tiring, but it’s such a special moment that I am enjoying to the maximum. I have dedicated my days completely to him.’

Katie Price set to wed?

Katie Price and Alex Reid

Alex Reid admits Katie Price is ‘The One’ – and has hinted he is ready to propose to her.

The cage-fighter – who was crowned the winner of British reality TV show ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ last week – is madly in love with the model and is getting ready to pop the question.

He said: ‘She’s ‘The One’, 100 per cent. I’ve completely realised how fantastic she is. How generous and kind she is, and how much I fancy

her. She is just the perfect woman for me.’

When quizzed on whether he was on the brink of proposing, Alex replied: ‘That’s a secret. I’ve got lots of plans but I’m going to keep them a mystery.’

Alex, 34, also hopes the public will stop giving him and 31-year-old Katie such a hard time.

The couple endured a torrid few months when they started dating following Katie’s split from now ex-husband Peter Andre, but the muscle-bound hunk believes people will now be able to see they are not bad people.

Alex added in an interview with Britain’s Star magazine: ‘She’s my girlfriend, I love her and I don’t want to see her suffer like that.

Perhaps I can help change that now. I hope I can. That’s part of the reason I did the show – I wanted people to stop giving her grief because she was with me.’

Jay-Z believes in Beyonce

Jay-Z expects wife Beyonce Knowles to win music awards – because she’s so ‘magnificent’.

The ’99 Problems’ rapper – whose spouse took home a record-breaking six gongs at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night (31.01.10) – is always confident the ‘Halo’ singer will win whenever she is nominated.

He said: ‘It’s almost got to a point where you just, you know, you’re almost numb to it because she’s so magnificent every single time.’

Beyonce, 28, also performed at the ceremony covering Alanis Morissette’s ‘You Oughta Know’, as well as singing her own song ‘If I Were A Boy’, and husband Jay-Z admits he never felt so proud of her.

He said: ‘I’m a fan, you know, I’m a big fan.’

The hip-hop star also spoke about how he believes Usher is in line to fill Michael Jackson’s ‘huge shoes’ as the new ‘King of Pop’.

Referring to the performance of ‘Earth Song’ in tribute to Michael at the ceremony, Jay-Z told Access Hollywood: ‘I thought the Michael Jackson tribute was fantastic and I thought Usher was doing a magnificent job. I think he’s one of the guys that’s in line to fill those huge shoes.

‘I don’t wanna put that pressure on him, but I think he’s one of the guy’s that’s in line to do that.’

The tribute – which featured Celine Dion, Usher, Jennifer Hudson and Smokey Robinson among others – was accompanied by a 3-D mini-film which was created by Michael as part of his planned ‘This Is It’ London residency.

Stubborn smoker Keith Richards

Keith Richards

Stubborn smoker Keith Richards

Keith Richards won’t give up smoking.

The legendarily hedonistic Rolling Stones guitarist reportedly stopped drinking a few months ago over health concerns, but is refusing to listen to medical risks and quit his favourite cigarettes.

A friend said: ‘Keith simply can’t start the day without a cigarette. Smoking is now Keith’s one and only vice and he isn’t stopping.’

Keith, 66, was initially warned by doctors that his rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle was taking its toll on his health after he fell out of a palm tree in Fiji four years ago, suffering a brain haemorrhage.

He is also said to have been upset recently by the alcohol-ravaged state of the band’s other guitarist, Ronnie Wood, who was reportedly admitted to rehab for the eighth time over the weekend.

The source added: ‘He’s done very well on the drinking front but he’s been a heavy smoker since his teens and that’s one pleasure he’s not prepared to give up.’

Keith’s refusal to stop smoking, even at indoor venues; flouting smoking bans in many countries, has often incurred the wrath of local authorities, and landed the band in trouble. Keith claims it is an integral part of his onstage persona and he should therefore be allowed to defy strict legislation.

Venting his anger at smoking bans he has said: ‘It’s a bit of a drag because you’ve got to freeze your b***s off to light a cigarette. You’ve got to go outside. It’s draconian, social, politically correct bulls**t.

‘They’ll get over it. It’s like prohibition, they tried to stop booze once. Ha! Look what happened. It ruined America.’

Dad rocker Dave Grohl

Dad rocker Dave Grohl

Dave Grohl says fatherhood has changed the way he makes music.

The Foo Fighters frontman – who has two daughters, Violet, three, and nine-month-old Harper, with wife Jordyn – admits the songs he writes are a lot more emotional because he has a different outlook on life.

He said: ‘It’s changed everything that I do. When you have kids, you see life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that would make its way into your songwriting.’

The 41-year-old rocker also refuses to tour for long periods of time because he hates being away form his family.

He explained to Time magazine: ‘I used to tour nine months out of the year. Now I don’t like being away from my kids for more than 12 days.’

Although he loves being a dad, Dave has previously admitted Violet’s birth had been the ‘scariest’ moment of his life.

He said: ‘I went to the birth. I knew the science. I could’ve f***ing delivered the baby myself at that point. I’d desensitised myself by watching those stupid TV shows with the graphic birth.

‘But I was nervous. It was a sketchy birth because her cord was around her neck and there were a couple of times when her heartbeat dropped. That’s the most frightened I’ve ever been in my life.’

Janet Jackson waits for Michael call

Janet Jackson waits for Michael call

Janet Jackson still expects her late brother Michael to call her.

The ‘All For You’ singer – the younger sister of the ‘Thriller’ star, who died last June from acute Propofol intoxication aged 50 – says her grief gets easier with every day that passes, but she would do anything to hear him speak again.

She said: ‘It gets sad sometimes because, I don’t know, you think your phone is going to ring and you hear that voice calling your name. But, yeah, life goes on and everybody grieves differently. And every day is different. Some days it’s much easier than others.’

Janet, 43, also revealed Michael’s untimely passing made her realise she needed to make changes in her life.

She said in an interview with Wonderland magazine: ‘A lot of people in this industry have a lot of ‘yes’ people. That I can tell you I do not have. A lot has changed in my life this year, a lot of changes, I think I’m kind of heading in a different direction for sure.’

One ambition Janet now wants to fulfil is to ‘kick somebody’s a*s’ in an action movie.

She said: ‘There was a time when I met with the Wachowski brothers to do ‘The Matrix’, a long time ago but there were scheduling conflicts. I want to kick somebody’s a*s. Anybody’s, as long as I get to kick somebody’s a*s. Kick a new hole in their butt. Rip ‘em a new butthole, I’d love to do that.’

Charlize Theron’s mystery man

Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron's mystery man

Charlize Theron reportedly enjoyed a date with a mystery man just weeks after splitting from her partner of nine years.

The Oscar-winning beauty – who is rumoured to have called off her relationship with actor Stuart Townsend over the Christmas period – was seen having a meal at Hollywood’s exclusive Chateau Marmont last week with the handsome male and onlookers says they looked more than friends.

One said: ‘It looked like a date. They had dinner, then left together.’

Over the weekend, it was claimed Charlize had told friends she split from Stuart after a trip to Mexico over the festive period, and had stopped wearing an antique commitment ring he had given her as a sign of his love.

A friend of the couple said: ‘Stuart is gutted but Charlize said that she realised during the Mexican holiday the relationship was over. They had become more like brother and sister than lovers. It was she who ended it.’

The 34-year-old actress – who is yet to comment on the reports – is now reportedly living in their main home in the Hollywood Hills, while he has moved his belongings into their beach house.

Stuart has previously spoken about how he considered Charlize to be his wife, even though they’d never married.

He said: ‘I didn’t do a church wedding or anything but we consider ourselves husband and wife. I don’t need a certificate or the state or the church to say otherwise.’

Brooke Mueller on road to recovery

Brooke Mueller

Brooke Mueller on road to recovery

Brooke Mueller is ‘starting to heal herself’ in rehab.

Charlie Sheen’s wife – who was admitted to the Two Dreams Outer Banks treatment centre in North Carolina last week for alleged problems with substance abuse – is progressing well and feeling much ‘stronger’ in herself after receiving treatment, massages and participating in tennis matches.

Her father Jon Fiore said: ‘Brooke is doing great. She is getting massages daily at Two Dreams and even played tennis with her mother while she was visiting.

‘She is starting to heal herself. She is feeling so much better, so much stronger.’

Brooke has had a turbulent few weeks, after the ‘Two and a Half Men’ actor was arrested over domestic violence charges against her on Christmas Day (25.12.09).

Following the incident, the real estate investor took out a restraining order against Charlie – with who she has 10-month-old twins, Bob and Max.

Last month, she was admitted to hospital for treatment on a wisdom tooth, but was kept in after she developed pneumonia.

Following her release last Monday (25.01.10), the 29-year-old beauty was taken to the rehab centre – which treats people for alcohol and drug addiction.

However, her father has denied reports Brooke has been struggling with addiction and claims she is simply worn out from her eventful personal life.

He told website Radar Online: ‘She is just there to heal herself from all the stress. There really wasn’t any kind of drugs involved. Her body was in turmoil and she had a lot of stress, so she went there to rest and get away from everything.’

Brooke and Charlie – who is looking after their babies while his wife is being treated – are due to meet in court on February 8 for a review of the restraining order.

According to her dad, Brooke is keen to leave the rehabilitation centre as soon as possible so she can be reunited with her kids and attend the hearing.

He added: ‘She misses the kids terribly. We expect her to leave in a week. Everything is on schedule for the hearing.’

JLS’ safe sex concerns

JLS' safe sex concerns

JLS get sent condoms by their mothers.

The ‘Everybody In Love’ hitmakers insist they always practice safe sex and never run out of contraception, thanks to their parents.

Band member Aston Merrygold said: ‘It’s all about staying safe. We all think so.

‘My mum sends me down a stash and I dish them out to the lads so none of us have to worry.’

The group – made up of Aston, Marvin Humes, JB Gill and Ortise Williams – are so concerned a girl will deliberately get pregnant by one of them, they refuse to accept condoms from anyone else.

Aston explained: ‘Some girls have condoms but we would never take them because you never know what may have been done to them. We don’t want to be trapped.’

The ‘Beat Again’ stars are so keen to promote safe sex, they even want to launch their own range of condoms Just Love Safe.

Aston told The Sun newspaper: ‘I’d be really up for doing some kind of campaign about safe sex.’

Meanwhile, Aston has revealed his bandmate Marvin is obsessed with ‘chick-flicks’.

He said: ‘The other night I knocked on Marvin’s door, I went in and there he was on his bed watching ‘Pretty Woman’ with a large tub of popcorn.’

Comic hunk Josh Holloway

Josh Holloway thinks he is a ‘comical’ sex symbol.

The actor – who plays bad boy Sawyer in US drama series ‘Lost’ – admits his friends and family, including wife Yessica Kumala, find his pin-up status hilarious and love to mock him over his female fans.

He said: ‘To me, it’s comical. Most people who know me think I’m pretty goofy. Sex symbol doesn’t cross their mind. Hippie, yeah. Completely goofball. But sex symbol, not really. My wife laughs at that.’

While the 40-year-old star is flattered that women find him attractive, he wishes he had received more attention when he was younger.

He joked: ‘I’m like 40 now, and they want me to take my shirt off. What happened when I was 25 and just naturally ripped? It takes a lot more work to stay in shape.’

Josh – who got married in October 2004 and became a father for the first time last April when Yessica gave birth to their daughter Java – has also spoke about how much his life has changed since he first signed up to appear in ‘Lost’ six years ago and is amazed at the ‘phenomenal journey’ he has been on.

He said: ‘What can I say? My God, I’ve had so many life-changing experiences since the show has begun. I’ve gotten married. I’ve got my first home. We have a beautiful baby daughter. I finally feel validated as an actor. It’s just been quite a phenomenal journey.’
