Lindsay Lohan finds designing clothes ‘therapeutic’.
The ‘Mean Girls’ actress – who has her own fashion line 6126 – loves creating outfits as it gives her the opportunity to express herself.
She said: ‘Fashion is something that’s so expressive in so many ways – within film, within music, within daily life. It expresses how you feel that day and the character you’re playing. I really appreciate and respect it. It’s something that’s not only a hobby of mine, but it makes me feel good. It’s really therapeutic for me, actually – the designs.’
However, Lindsay – who was forced to deny rumours she was blacklisted from New York Fashion Week and suffered the embarrassment of her designs for fashion house Emanuel Ungaro getting panned by critics – admits being associated with her can have negative consequences.
The 23-year-old star – who has been in rehab three times – told America’s OK! magazine: ‘I’m the first to say that in certain situations, my name will cheapen things because that’s what people have made of it.’
