Justin Timberlake’s fashion inspiration is Sir Mick Jagger.
The ‘SexyBack’ singer – who launched his latest collection for fashion house William Rast at New York Fashion Week on Tuesday (16.02.10) – is a huge fan of the Rolling Stones legend’s style and based a lot of his designs on him.
He told MTV: ‘There is blatant correlation between music and fashion.
‘I think since the beginning of rock ‘n’ roll, people have wanted to dress like rock stars.
‘I still find old Mick Jagger jackets that I wish I could pull out of his closet or something. Of course, they wouldn’t fit me. Very tight.’
Justin’s 2010 Autumn-Winter collection won huge praise when it was shown, with one magazine saying he had ‘classed up the operation’ and his show was ’1,000 per cent more sophisticated’ than the last.
US Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Emile Hirsch and Gerard Butler were among those who watched the show.

Jessica Simpson is to release a range of watches.
The singer-and-actress – who already has her own line of clothes and perfume – is keen to add to her collection by creating some stunning timepieces.
She said: ‘Collecting watches, both vintage and new, has been a hobby of mine for some time so adding watches to the collection was a natural extension.’
Jessica, 29, has teamed up with jeweller Pascal Mouawad – who collaborated with Nicole Richie on her House of Harlow 1960 fashion range – to develop the watches, which will include 35 designs.
The timepieces will all be based on Jessica’s personal style and will vary from classic faces with a leather strap to elaborate jewellery-inspired looks.
The watches will retail from $60-$250 and will be available in department stores and at jessicasimpsoncollection.com.
Last year, Jessica launched her latest fragrance, which was inspired by falling in love.
Talking about Fancy Love, Vince Camuto – CEO and founder of the Camuto Group, which holds the global license for all Jessica’s brands – said: ‘Jessica loves the feeling of being in love, she is a romantic girl. The fragrance was inspired by love. And she’s inspired by love.’

Kim Kardashian is considering designing her next fragrance with her boyfriend.
The socialite launched her self-titled perfume this week, but is already planning a new fragrance, which she said she may co-design with American Football player Reggie Bush.
Kim, 29, said: ‘Reggie and I have talked about doing a fragrance together – something that is kind of unisex.’
However, when asked which of her scents Reggie prefers, Kim said: ‘He just likes my natural sexiness. He likes my natural scent.’
For the fragrance launch, Kim wore a black PVC dress, a look she reprised later in the week when she donned a black PVC corset over a grey dress to launch a collection designed by her and her sisters Kourtney and Khloe for fashion chain bebe.
The range, which is available this month in bebe stores in the U.S, consists of basic jerseys, fitted blazers and leather separates.
She tweeted: ‘Heading to the bebe show! Can’t wait for u guys to see this hoodie dress w/ leather corset I have on! Dope! (sic)’

Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Nicola Roberts were among the fashionistas taking to the catwalk for Fashion For Relief yesterday (18.02.10).
In a touching tribute to Alexandra McQueen – who committed suicide last week – both Naomi and Kate wore designs from his last Spring/Summer 2010 collection.
The event was organised by Naomi to raise money for survivors of the Haitian earthquake.
She said: ‘I am deeply saddened by the recent tragedy in Haiti.
‘So many have been killed and severely affected by the earthquake – women and children in particular are most vulnerable in disasters. Fashion is universal, personal and touches everyone.’
Other celebrities who took to the catwalk included Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh, Welsh diva Dame Shirley Bassey, former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and socialite Pixie Geldof.
Comedians James Corden and David Walliams decided to make a statement at the event, passionately kissing each other when they got to the end of the runway.
One model, Tolula Adeyemi, had trouble with her platform heels and almost dived off the runway.
Writing on twitter, she said: ‘OMG almost took a tumble in thos shoes on Naomi’s catwalk! 2 sizes 2 big! my falling from grace, almost, on Naomi Campbell’s catwalk!!(sic)’

Rihanna thinks people perceive her to be a ‘b***h’.
The ‘Russian Roulette’ singer says her shy side is often mistaken for rudeness because she isn’t always open and chatty when she meets new people.
She told WPGC radio: ‘I don’t really open up to a lot of people, usually I go very quiet.
‘If I don’t know someone often I don’t say very much, I observe and people think I am snooty because of that. People assume that I’m a b***h. But I don’t think that I am. I just don’t feel I have to be that enthusiastic if I don’t know who you are yet.’
Rihanna – who was famously assaulted by then-boyfriend Chris Brown last February – also said that, despite the incident, she had never considered stepping out of the public eye and can’t see herself making the decision to do so in the future.
She added: ‘If I could step away from the music industry? I’d never do that because I really love what I do and it would be a shame to give this away because I dreamt about it for so many years.’

Savannah Miller used to dress sister Sienna up as a belly dancer.
Savannah – who now works with her actress sibling on fashion label Twenty8Twelve – admits she would put embarrassing clothes on her for fun.
She revealed: ‘I’d make her wear purple chiffon harem pants with an M+S bra I’d embroidered myself, and turn her into a little belly dancer.
‘Looking back, I can see that we’ve been working together on clothes in some capacity, for as long as I can remember.’
Discussing her collection – which is named after Sienna’s birthday – 31-year-old Savannah suggests the focus of the clothes has changed.
She said: ‘When Sienna and I first started, it was about designing clothes that we would want to wear.
‘Now, I feel the clothes are more about what our clients would want to buy, which is not always the same thing. I’ve learned to understand the customer, while remaining true to who we are.’
Savannah also admits to being surprised when she sees people wearing her designs.
She added to the Telegraph newspaper: ‘I will never forget wondering through Covent Garden one wintry day and seeing this girl wearing one of our poplin summer dresses with black tights and boots, and a chunky black cardigan.
‘She looked wonderful in a way I would never have expected; I love that people can take something of ours and make it their own.’

Pixie Lott may have lost out at Tuesday night’s (16.02.1) BRIT Awards but she was definitely a winner in the style stakes.
While the 19-year-old singer looked sensational in a black lacy dress, complete with black tights and shoes, it was her hairstyle which had everyone talking. Her long blonde locks fell in 1940s inspired waves over her shoulder, which complemented her outfit and red lipstick beautifully.
The ‘Mama Do’ hitmaker’s tresses were styled by current British Hairdresser of the Year Akin Konizi and he has given advice on how to recreate the look.
Akin – the Creative Director for award-winning hairdressing group HOB Salons – said: ‘To recreate this look firstly apply a generous spritz of High Hair Designer Spray 200ml by Wella Professionals to towel dried hair. Once rough dried, I used a finger waving technique at the roots, setting the ends. However, to achieve this look yourself at home, divide hair into 2 inch long by 1 inch wide sections and vertically tong the hair, making sure that all sections are styled in the same direction.
‘Once all the hair has been worked through, don’t be afraid to brush through and let the waves settle in, applying a serum based product such as High Hair Pure Glamour 75ml into your hands and gently run through the hair to eliminate any flyaway hairs and add a glass-like sheen. Finish with Shaper Fierce 400ml by Sebastian Professional for hold.’

Kelly Osbourne says the secret to her new slim figure is eating half an apple before bed.
The 23-year-old star – who has appeared at several New York Fashion Week events looking super-slender – has revealed her top diet tip to anyone looking to get in shape.
She said: ‘A trick I’ve learned is to eat just a little bit of something that has no carbs and no sugar in it before you go to sleep because it keeps your metabolism going. They say you should never eat before you go to bed, but I’ve found just having a tiny little snack – like half an apple or something like that – before you go to sleep really helps.’
Kelly also credits her appearance on US TV talent show ‘Dancing with the Stars’ for changing her entire attitude to food and exercise.
She told America’s Life and Style magazine: ‘I’ve completely changed the way I eat since doing ‘Dancing with the Stars’.’
Kelly – who is engaged to 20-year-old model Luke Worrall – also regularly does Pilates to stay in shape.
She said: ‘Pilates is amazing, my posture is so much better and I’m even starting to get muscles on my tummy – it’s incredible.’

Cheryl Cole is expected to file for divorce from her husband Ashley Cole ‘within weeks’.
Friends of the ‘Fight for This Love’ singer – whose soccer player husband allegedly cheated on her with an unnamed blonde secretary – claim the 26-year-old pop beauty will leave him after growing ‘exhausted’ by allegations of his infidelity.
One pal told the Daily Mail newspaper: ‘Cheryl is holding it together, she is extremely tough – don’t forget she comes from a council estate in Newcastle, England, and is a fighter.
‘She loves Ashley, he is the love of her life, but there is only so much she will take.
‘Cheryl is exhausted with it all. There was a point when she was going to ride it all out, but she has heard rumours of more women and cannot face it. They will split within weeks.’
This news comes shortly after a blonde office worker claimed she had slept with Ashley twice in 2008 after exchanging explicit pictures and text messages with the 29-year-old sportsman for weeks. Texts of a similar nature were also found on the phone of glamour model Sonia Wild.
If the couple – who wed in July 2006 – do divorce, Cheryl can expect to receive a large percentage of Ashley’s wealth, because they didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement.
A legal source said: ‘This is an unusual situation for a footballer as very few have wives with their own earnings. However, the discrepancy between their net worths means that Mrs Cole would have a very strong case for a significant claim over a large portion of his wealth, now and in the future.’
Cheryl flew to Los Angeles yesterday (17.02.10) following her performance at the BRITs on Tuesday (16.02.10).
The Girls Aloud singer wasn’t wearing her £160,000 engagement or wedding ring before her flight – but had a similar gold-coloured rock on in its place.
A source said: ‘Cheryl’s most treasured possession is her diamond wedding ring. She is refusing to wear it. The fact she has replaced it with a decoy is a big two fingers up to Ashley. To onlookers it looks like she’s a married woman – but to Ashley it’s a clear sign that she feels their relationship is in big, big trouble.’

Alex Reid doesn’t want to adopt Peter Andre’s children.
The 34-year-old cage-fighter – who recently married Peter’s ex-wife Katie Price in a Las Vegas ceremony – feels as though he has a strong bond with the singer’s kids, Junior, four, and Princess Tiaamii, two, but recognises that Peter is their father.
Speaking to British TV talk show host Alan Carr, Alex said: ‘Peter’s a great dad, I don’t want to take anything away from him so why not all sit round a table. I love those kids, but I don’t want to be their dad.’
Peter broke down during a recent television interview when it was suggested Alex may try to formally adopt his children, mirroring Peter’s rejected plans to adopt seven-year-old Harvey – Katie’s son from her relationship with soccer player Dwight Yorke.
Meanwhile, Peter has suggested glamour model Katie was a bossy wife.
Playing a guess the celebrity game on upcoming UK TV show ‘Chris Moyles’ Quiz Night’, 36-year-old Peter said: ‘This person is a dominatrix. Imagine living with a woman like that? Someone so bossy. I don’t have to imagine that any more.’
He also joked Katie would not be as satisfied in bed with Alex as she was with him.
He quipped: ‘Once you’ve had Greek, you’ve hit your peak.’
Katie recently insisted she and Alex will be equals in their marriage.
She said: ‘I want to buy a house with Alex. I want it all to be equal – his money, my money, completely split down the line.
‘Whatever work we do together, it’s not going to be, ‘I take my half, he take his.’ We’re putting it all in a joint account and that’s how a marriage really should be.’
