The Oscar-winning beauty says she works hard on maintaining her stunning looks and uses a concoction of products to keep her luscious locks and illuminating skin.

She said: ‘I’m a slave to my looks! I keep my skin clear by applying a mixture of honey and salt all over my body to moisturise and exfoliate. I also condition my hair with honey and beer. I smell like the bottom of a beer barrel for days afterwards! And I don’t mind admitting I never leave home without my make-up bag – I think I came out of the womb loving make-up.’

Although she is conscious of her looks, Catherine – who has two children, Dylan, nine, and six-year-old Carys, with husband Michael Douglas – refuses to conform to the super-skinny look which is rife in Hollywood at the moment.

She told Britain’s OK! magazine: ‘I find this wave of super-skinny women scary. I’m not going to lie to you, I’ve got drag myself down to the gym like everybody else. But I look at the red carpet sometime

The singer is a huge fan of the fashion designer – who died last month at the age of 40 – and believes he was one of the best at what he did because he took his creations to a different level.

Speaking at the New York premiere of ‘Why Did I Get Married Too?’, where she donned a dark navy Alexander McQueen ruffled jacket paired with harem pants and a power belt, Janet said: ‘He was a true genius, and I’m not using the word loosely at all. To me, there are certain ones, you have Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel, Givenchy, McQueen, Galliano, it’s those guys that fall right in that.’

Janet has fond memories of McQueen as his was the first fashion show she went to.

The 43-year-old star told People.com: ‘He was a wonderful guy. A sweetheart. McQueen was the very first fashion show I ever went to. He invited me to his show in the late 90s in London. I’ve always been a fan of his.’

McQueen was found dead in his London home after committing suicide and the tributes are still being paid to him.

Demi Moore recently called his clothes ‘works of art’.

The ‘Ghost’ actress said: ‘McQueen was a genius. I was always thrilled to wear his clothes because they were more than fashion; they were truly works of art.’

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress is working closely with the Los Angeles clothing company on three new lines with the possibility of extending this after being introduced to the company’s designers by mutual friends.

A source said: ‘Lindsay and the design team at Ed Hardy have mutual friends, and they knew she was interested in looking for a handbag license and partner. They thought she’d be a good fit and so did she.

‘As of last week, there are three collections in development and numerous more are expected. Lindsay is very directly involved with the project, and she’s always pulling things online and from magazines for ideas.’

Lindsay’s latest fashion projects follows her much criticised collaboration with Emanuel Unargo – where she worked as the artistic director for one season.

The 23-year-old starlet also has her own line of leggings, 6126, and launched fake tan line Sevin Nyne.

In 2007, Lindsay fronted a Jill Stuart handbags campaign, following the success of a Dooney and Bourke one in 2004.

Cindy Crawford claims avoiding cigarettes and the sun help her maintain her youthful complexion.

Cindy Crawford says not smoking and keeping out the sun helps her stay young.

The 44-year-old model insists her beauty regime is simple and looks youthful thanks to a number of different things.

She said: ‘It’s combination of a lot of things. I don’t smoke, I don’t take too much sun on my face – all of those things. If you keep doing them enough over the years, they add up.

‘It’s not that I work out every day and I’m not ever on a diet – I just eat healthy. I’m never off the wagon, so I never have to get back on the wagon. I think it’s about maintaining a healthy body weight.’

The star – who has children Presley, 10, and Kaia, eight, with husband Rande Gerber – also admits she is happy with her career and lives a good life, which helps her look good.

She told Us Weekly magazine: ‘If you’re happy and you’re doing work that you enjoy – for me it’s about being a mother – that comes out in how I look.’

Recently Cindy admitted she wouldn’t worry about looking older as the years pass by.

She said: ‘When you don’t have anything interesting to do, you start thinking too much about what you don’t have anymore. When you can appreciate fulfilling things like family, work, friends or the possibility of helping other people, you will have a focus. The list could go on.

‘But to be standing in front of a mirror and to moan, ‘Oh my God, I’ve just found another wrinkle!’ That’s embarrassing. I don’t have time for that.’

Cat Deeley has become the face of jewellery company Links of London after being chosen for her ”beauty and fresh London feel”.

Cat Deeley has become the face of Links of London.

The ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ host will front the understated jewellery company’s new campaign for their autumn/winter collection, which will be launched in September.

The firm’s creative director, Elizabeth Galton, said: ‘We selected Cat for her beauty and fresh London feel – something that embodies the essence of the Links of London brand.’

The range includes the introduction of rose-gold combinations, chunky rings and candy coloured heart-shaped stones.

Cat is known for her stylish fashion sense and recently revealed she doesn’t always stick to trends because she wants young girls to know not everyone has to look the same.

The Los Angeles-based British beauty said: ‘I’ve got as many hang-ups as the next person, but I never tell anyone what they are. Most of it is in your head, so if you don’t tell people, they don’t notice.

‘One of the reasons I like wearing slightly unusual clothes on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ is to show young girls that it’s OK to be different. I’m far from perfect, especially in Los Angeles, and I think it’s important for kids growing up to know that’s fine.’

The collection – which was one of the late designer’s last projects before his tragic death last month – will include basic underwear, sleepwear, loungewear, a seasonal fashion range and swimwear.

McQueen chief executive officer Jonathan Akeroyd said: ‘The development of our menswear is a priority for us, and expanding the diversity of products within the sector is mandatory.’

The designer had been working on a collection of boxer shorts and briefs, all of which bear his signature skull prints as well as all over feather prints.

The range – which will benefit several AIDS charities worldwide – will be available from alexandermcqueen.com and international department stores.

Earlier this month, Alexander’s last-ever collection was shown in Paris.

The low-key showcase of the designer’s final work was shown to a small group of people and received a positive reception from the assembled journalists and employees.

The show – which was originally intended to take place in the Conciergerie, a former prison – was backed by the sepulchral 17th-century choral music Alexander had listened to while creating the collection, which consisted of high-necked, close-fitting satin dresses accessorised with high-heeled carved gold shoes and thigh-high boots.

The 15 looks were emblazoned with motifs of angels and other religious and medieval imagery.

Alexander, 40, was found dead in his London home on February 11.

Yasmin Le Bon admits it’s ”strange” doing modelling jobs with 20-year-old daughter Amber, but is pleased she has followed in her footsteps.

Yasmin Le Bon admits it’s ‘strange’ doing modelling jobs with her daughter.

The stunning brunette – who was once one of the world’s highest-earning supermodels, working for a host of designers including Chanel, Christian Dior, Missoni and Versace – is proud 20-year-old Amber has followed in her footsteps but can’t quite believe they sometimes work together on shoots.

The 45-year-old beauty – who has two other daughters, Saffron, 18, and 15-year-old Tallulah, with husband Simon Le Bon – said: ‘I don’t worry about her getting into the modelling industry because she has the right personality to deal with it – she’s very comfortable in her own skin, knows how strong you have to be emotionally and she really enjoys what she’s doing.

‘We’ve done a few jobs together and that is strange.’

While she is still in demand as a model, Yasmin – who has created a range of clothes, YLB, for British high street store Wallis – admits she gets frustrated she is congratulated on her success in spite of her age.

She told Stylist magazine: ‘It’s a shame. It doesn’t happen to men. Being judged by appearance is part and parcel of society but I think we have to buck the trend and create a new way of thinking. That’s what I got into designing for in the first place – to break down barriers and change ideas.’

Agyness Deyn is begging best friend Henry Holland to move to New York to be closer to her.

The British supermodel relocated to the Big Apple two years ago and while she loves being in the US she misses the designer and their other friend Jessica Fletcher.

Henry said: ‘She’s not coming back. She has definitely settled and found her home. I miss her loads now she is New York. She is getting very, very frustrated with us now.

‘She has had enough of it and says, ‘This is it, I have been here two years, hurry up and move over.’ She keeps demanding that me and Jess come on over and work there. But I spend as much time as I can over there hanging out with her.’

While Agyness is in America, Henry has found a new girl in his life – Pixie Geldof, who is the face of his high street collection H! By Henry Holland.

He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ‘Pixie has been my muse actually. I love working with my friends whenever possible. I first met her five years ago.

‘And over the years we bumped into each other at different things and we’ve the same group of friends. She’s slept on my sofa a few times. When all this has died down in a few weeks we’re off to Los Angeles to the Coachella music festival.’

Model Lily Cole may not appear in the next Rimmel campaign as the cosmetic firm want more international stars to front their campaigns.

The model – who is currently studying at Cambridge University in the UK – is one of the cosmetic firm’s faces but her time could be up as the company want more international stars to front their advertisements.

A source said: ‘Lily is unlikely to have her contract renewal. Rimmel want to appeal to US audiences and are planning to launch their new faces soon.’

It was previously revealed Solange Knowles and US actress Zooey Deschanel are to appear in the ads while models Georgia May Jagger and Coca Rocha have already signed up for the campaign.

However, the news may not come as a huge blow for Lily as she recently revealed she is fed up of modelling.

The 21-year-old beauty wants to veer away from the fashion and beauty industry and instead plans to spend the rest of her working days focusing on her acting career.

She said: ‘I’d like to act and not really model so much. I wouldn’t want to treat acting as a convenient thing to do now and again. I’ve been doing modelling for years and I feel like I’ve taken out of it what I need to and I’m ready for new things.’

Vanessa Hudgens says her five-month exercise regime with the US Navy SEALs was so intense it left her in tears.

Vanessa Hudgens says her new exercise regime was so intense it left her in tears.

The ‘High School Musical’ star wanted to get into tip-top shape for her role in action movie ‘Sucker Punch’ so enlisted the help of the US Navy SEALs, a Maritime Special Operations Force.

She said: ‘I trained with the Navy SEALs for five months. It was the most intense thing that anyone could ever do.

‘I was bawling my eyes out because they push you so hard. But it’s amazing what you find from it. When you go so far you find a certain Zen within that and you know you can do anything. It’s very empowering.’

Vanessa is not the only celebrity to get in shape for a movie role.

Last year, Sienna miller underwent six weeks of intense fighting and martial arts classes before starring in ‘G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra’.

She said: ‘I had to get fit for the first time in my life, so that was entertaining. I was very reluctant, being English.

‘I’m a good little scrapper now. I just couldn’t believe it. I’d be like, ‘Oh my goodness, I’ve got a muscle’, but it’s all gone to pot now.’
