Versatile Leighton Meester

Leighton Meester believes ‘versatility’ is her best beauty asset.

The ‘Gossip Girl‘ actress – who recently became the global ambassador for Herbal Essences haircare range – likes to experiment with a variety of looks and thinks she can pull them all off.

When asked what her biggest beauty asset was, Leighton replied: ‘Versatility. I try different looks and I’m happy that I can achieve them and not look like a clown. I like to have fun with hair and make-up.’

While Leighton enjoys experimenting with her hair and make-up, she has also learnt to embrace her natural beauty – something she found hard to do at first.

She told WWD: ‘You can get used to getting your make-up and hair done all the time and then you don’t love what you look like naturally. So I try to embrace that. I learned to love the way I look without make-up and how my hair dries naturally. It took me a long time.’

While Leighton‘s style is emulated around the world, she urges people to create a look which is unique to them.

She said: ‘I’m lucky because expressing my personal style is fun and I have fun with it. Everyone should love their own look. Don’t copy; do your own thing.’

Amanda Seyfried’s stylish lover

Amanda Seyfried gets fashion advice from boyfriend Dominic Cooper.

The stunning actress admits she’s quite casual when it comes to style and relies on her ‘Mamma Mia!’ co-star to help her look good.

She said: ‘I love Stella McCartney and Alexander Wang. But I’m more likely to buy leggings than an elaborate low-cut piece. They both make casual clothes that have something extra going on, which is what I want. I also like Calvin Klein and I love Prada bags. Actually, Dominic bought me a gorgeous bag. He knows a lot about fashion. He’s very stylish.’

Amanda looks good in most designer clothes as she is blessed with an enviable figure but says she has to work hard to maintain it.

The blonde beauty told LOOK magazine: ‘I love to work out. I like it when my body is tight and when I feel good. I’ve been doing it since I was young and I have a big obsession with exercise and wellbeing. I guess it was always in me, but there’s pressure to be a certain way, regardless of my profession. Nobody ever makes me think about losing any pounds, but I don’t weigh that much to begin with as a I have a small frame.’
